Art Collectors Editions Inc., of Canoga Park, Calif., has been named as the global publisher of select fine art portfolios of artwork featuring beloved Disney characters and their magical settings, it was announced by Harry Dolman, senior vice president of Hardlines for Disney Consumer Products (DCP). |

| Working closely with Disney,
Collectors Editions will produce and market limited-edition prints on paper and canvas for
Walt Disney Art Classics, the art and collectibles unit of DCP. The fine art offerings
will include new and previously released images from Disney’s Art of Peter Ellenshaw
and The Art of Disney Storybooks portfolios, as well as new interpretations from
established and emerging artists and the new Disney’s Art of Accademia portfolio
(which takes renowned museum images and infuses them with the whimsy of the Disney
characters). The role of the artist will be the focus of every portfolio published by
Collectors Editions. "Collectors Editions has an impressive roster of artists and their team has an incredible understanding of the Disney brand. We look forward to utilizing their expertise in fine art publishing to expand our business and introduce new artist-inspired works for our collectors," said Dolman. Walt Disney Art Classics and Collectors Editions will unveil new releases at the September 2002 DecorExpo trade show in Atlanta, Georgia under the Disney Fine Art banner. The Disney Fine Art portfolios are in addition to the Walt Disney Animation Art cel and print portfolios, which capture Disney characters as they appear in films and other entertainment. Disney Fine Art is available at independently owned fine art galleries worldwide as well as at all Disney Theme Parks. Capturing the timeless images of Disney’s classic animated films as limited-edition artwork, Disney Fine Art celebrates the artistry that goes into each and every Disney creation. |
