Seufert Robert Seufert brings a passion to his meticulously rendered oil paintings. His work provides ample space for the viewer to linger, undisturbed. Seufert captures a location's unique characteristics while conveying the distinctive light, atmosphere and mood associated with a setting, as seen in Journey's End. Seufert executes his distinctive paintings with a 3?inch painting knife that has an arrowhead tip. Using a stippling process, he applies the paint as it comes from the tube, achieving depth and shading with multitudes of tiny dots. Moving from the background to the foreground, he works on one section at a time, painstakingly depicting each minute detail such as individual leaves on a tree. A professional artist for more than thirty years, Seufert's work is included in many corporate and private collections and has garnered numerous awards. Accepted by national juried shows, his art has also been exhibited at prestigious museums including the Smithsonian Institution in Washington, D.C. He and his wife, a fellow artist, have three children and live in suburban Philadelphia where they share a studio. |
