The name Bev Doolittle is
synonymous with the word "camouflage art." Nevertheless, it has always been the
stories and ideas behind Bevs art which have intrigued and challenged her the most,
remaining adamant that her use of camouflage is a means to an end (to slow down the
viewing and storytelling process) and not an end in itself. Thus, in recent years Bev
has dedicated herself to a new challenge in storytelling: The creation of her upcoming and
much anticipated book The Earth is My Mother, first to be published as a special
Collectors Edition this fall.
Always an innovator, Bev has created a new, interactive format in visual storytelling.
And not to disappoint her legion of loyal fans shes even added a new
twist to the use of "camouflage" to slowly reveal a hidden message.
Bev remains committed to exploring artistic ideas with The Greewich Workshop when and
as they inspire her. She makes her home in Palm Spring, California and has been published
by The Greenwich Workshop since 1979. Her preferred medium is watercolor.
