Each G. Harvey original graphic is the product of intricate detail, hundreds of man-hours and a very intimate working relationship between artist, chromist and printer. Each individual image is carefully analyzed to determine the best suited printing method. Each screen or palate used is carefully hand-crafted. Upon approval, the first color is hand-pulled and, after completion, placed on a rack to dry overnight. The process is then repeated, using a separate screen or plate for each color. A hand pulled lithograph is produced with each color hand-drawn or painted on a mylar sheet and transferred to an aluminum plate. The plate is treated to accept water, then inked with a roller and printed on a lithography press. The signed and numbered edition is done on 100% rag paper and the deluxe is on Japon paper and both have deckled edge, the result is a truly beautiful work of fine art.
